World Police and Firefighter Games update

ROC swimmer Linda St Germain came on deck about 3 months ago with a specific goal in mind – to win the 50m freestyle at the World Police and Firefighter Games, to be held in NYC on August 29th.   You see Linda is also Captain St Germain from Toronto Fire Station 33, and a former national level waterpolo player.  But her best time in this event ever was 32.0, and when she came through the doors of ROC she could swim the distance in 36.7 seconds.   3 months later, lots of hard work and sacrifice, and one hurricane later Linda stood on the blocks and raced to second place in a time of 31.67.  A great swim, and a great competitor, hungry now for that elusive gold, her next chance will be Belfast in 2013.
