ROC swimmer, John Holbrook, 16, was selected to join the under 18 years Ontario Waterpolo Team this past summer. John and the team traveled to California from July 10-26th and there attended 2 major tournaments, (one of which was the Hale Summer Championship) and competed in 27 waterpolo games. The Ontario Team placed 8th out of the 32 teams at the Hale Tournament, and bested the other Canadian teams representing Alberta (9th) and British Columbia (11th). John had the most assists and was the second highest goal scorer for the Ontario team. The Clarington Swim Club will be running a waterpolo league this coming season starting on September 19th, to support John and the increasing population of waterpolo players in this growing sport.
