Swimming Fundamentals Program
**Please email claringtonswimclub@gmail.com for availability**
This program is for younger swimmers (ages 4-6) still learning
basic swimming and how to get comfortable in the water.
and/or
for novice age swimmers (8-12) who need a little extra
one-on-one attention before moving to the Novice or Junior programs.
· There is no minimum level to join – the maximum number of students per instructor is 2, and all students with a given instructor are similar in age and skill set.
· Your child will be taught by one of the best swimmers in Durham, a senior swimmer from the ROC team. All of our instructors have a great deal of experience with teaching swimming and with working with younger children.
· There are no Red Cross Levels given, however, after a session or two of our lessons, if you wish to re-enter the Red Cross system you can ask for an evaluation of your child and they will place him or her accordingly. Expect an advancement.
· Your child will be in the water actively swimming for the entire duration of their lesson. He or she will be in the water the entire 1/2 hour – playing games, learning new skills, having fun and learning to swim well.
